This is me:

My name is Jeppe.

….and no, I am not Australian with that weird name of mine! I am in fact Danish.

I come from the land of Lego, Lurpak Butter, Hans Christian Andersen, Carlsberg beer, “I’m a Barbie girl”, one of the happiest country in the world and of course the beautiful, clever and witty Queen Mary from Tasmania. I have met her a few times in Copenhagen, and yes, she is as beautiful and clever as you see and hear in the magazines and on TV.

My name is pronounced almost like ‘Yabba’ in ‘Yabba-dabba-doooo’!

I enjoy life to the full and being alive. I really do!

Whether it is yoga in the morning, snorkelling with turtles and fish in the sea, going to Christmas Markets in the cold winters in Denmark, and drinking mulled wine, taking a nap, having drinks with friends and family at night, dancing, playing cards, having discussions, baking….I love it all. Bring it on!

Let us celebrate life together.
Let us be joyful together.
Let us have a laugh together.
Let us be serious together.
Let us come together and make a day to remember.

A typical timeline of my services

  • Contact is established

  • After a video call, the decision is reached to collaborate on your celebration or not.

  • First meeting where we get to know each other. Talk, talk, talk! Q&A’s!

For wedding celebrations:
We will have to fill out a ‘Notice of Intended Marriage’ form (this has to be done at least 31 days before the celebration, so Births Deaths and Marriages receive the form in due time) and I will sight two forms of ID: Birth certificate, passport and/or Driver’s license.

I will also talk to both parties individually to make sure, you both are as happy and excited about the wedding that is about to happen.

You also need to have two witnesses over 18 years old, to witness the wedding on the day.

  • After our first meeting, I will draft a script for the whole ceremony and the personalised speech.

For a wedding ceremony, we may need a rehearsal one or two days before the event.

  •  On the day of ceremony, I will be at the venue 30 minutes before, to set up and get ready.

If we need an extra meeting, we can organise that, and throughout the whole period, I am available on E-mail or telephone for inspiration and guidance.

Unfortunately it’s been seen and heard that some people say they are civil celebrants, perform weddings, and are actually not qualified and approved to do so.

You can see on The Attorney General’s Department webpage that I am a registered civil celebrant. If you enter ‘Jeppe’ in quick search you will find me.

So when you get married by me, you actually get married!
